Traditional Lime Work
TRADITIONAL LIME RENDERING/PLASTERING
The traditional method of rendering or plastering older properties. This is essential to allow the walls to ‘breath’ letting moisture created inside the property out and also more importantly moisture entering the property walls from outside (most commonly rain) to escape (evaporate) without being trapped behind a solid render barrier.
LATHS
is the traditional method of putting up a ceiling or partition walls. Usually made from oak or larch, the laths are fixed to to ceiling or wall joists then lime rendered and lime plastered.
